Uzgajam ja i kornišone (krastavce), prodajem.
Volkswagen GTI First Decade Hybrid concept front three quarter in motion Austria’s annual Volkswagen festival, the Wrthersee Meeting, is unlike any other car event and a great place for Volkswagen and Sitech apprentices to reveal their one-of-a-kind Golf GTI dubbed the Golf GTI First Decade – the first GTI to be powered by a hybrid powertrain.
Built in less than nine months by 13 Wolfsburg plant apprentices, the GTI First Decade is powered by a 404-hp gasoline engine driving the front wheels, coupled to a rear-mounted electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The GTI can be operated with the gasoline engine only (front-wheel drive), on electric power only (rear-drive), or a combination of the two for all-wheel drive. Using an app on a compatible device or through the infotainment system, the driver can select and control the different driving modes. Two battery packs located in the rear of the Golf have a maximum output of 12 kilowatt-hours and are charged through regenerative braking.
“During the creation of their dream GTI, our apprentices learn about the complexity and future challenges of automobile production. They gain further experience in the use of digital technologies, the application of system technology and electro-mobility,” says Peter Christ, head of automotive technology training in Wolfsburg.
The GTI First Decade sports Atlantic Blue Metallic paint with large areas on the doors and side panels using foil painted in Satin Ocean Shimmer. Stripes of glossy blue chrome foil can be seen throughout the paintwork, and the hood and roof receive racing stripes in three contrasting blue foils. The 20-inch black mb-Design wheels have hubs painted in Ocean Shimmer while the honeycomb radiator grille receives a black high-gloss paint job. Being the 10th Wrthersee show car since 2008, the number 10 can be seen on the C-pillars along with a First Decade logo on the tailgate.
Inside, the handmade titanium sport seats are wrapped in black Nappa leather and Alcantara, feature a massage function, and can be electronically controlled using an app on a compatible device. Air vent, instrument panel, steering wheel, and door trim are all painted in Ocean Satin Shimmer. Replacing the rear seats and cargo area is an impressive-looking 1,690-watt premium sound system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer housed in a wheel and tire enclosure with LED lighting.
Apprentices from Volkswagen Sachsen are also revealing their own car, the Golf GTE Variant impulsE, built in the Zwickau factory. The hybrid show car has a prototype battery with a capacity of 16.8 kW-hrs, doubling the wagon’s all-electric range. The hybrid’s exterior paint is striking thanks to its five-tone matte paint job in Oryx White, Apassionata Blue, Anthracite, Hallmark, and St. James Red. The interior features animated, app-controlled ambient lighting, blue stitching on the panorama sliding roof and leather/Alcantara bucket seats, and impulsE embroidery on the seats.
Volkswagen has refreshed the hugely popular Tiguan range which to our excitement includes the addition of a range-topping R variant.
The facelift consists of an all-new grille which flows into restyled headlights that look just like those used on the new Golf. The model also adopts a sportier front bumper with more pronounced air intakes.
At the rear the changes are a lot more subtle, but the crossover gains new taillights, restyled wheels, an updated rear bumper and the ‘Tiguan’ badge his now in the centre.
Inside you will find a new steering wheel with “illuminated touch islands and sliders.” You will notice that these touch-sensitive controls are visible elsewhere as higher-end variants feature a high-tech climate control system.
The regular Tiguan will pack a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol, while middling to flagship grades will make use of the groups EA888 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder, which powers a variety of models including the Golf GTI hot hatch.
At the top of the range you will find the Tiguan R which delivers 316 hp (235 kW) from the familiar turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine.
Volkswagen South Africe has confirmed that the refreshed Tiguan will be arriving in the first quarter of 2021 with the Tiguan R coming at a later stage in the year.
GTI fans are in for a treat—a near-production-ready Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR made its debut at Reifnitz am W rthersee in Austria this week.
The special edition is the street version of the TCR race series Golf GTI. Under the hood, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine offers 286 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
VW claims a top speed of 164 mph, though the car is currently limited to 155 mph. The Golf GTI TCR Racing Car was revealed in 2016 and only 20 were built. The hot hatchback packed 326 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque from its 2.0-liter inline four. It has a 0-62 mph time of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 143 mph.
The four-door special edition borrows styling cues from the race car but stops short of the deep hood scoop and massive rear wing. It joined several thousand GTI fanatics at this year’s tuner gathering in W rthersee that continues through May 12.
Volkswagen says the Golf GTI TCR will launch in Europe this winter.
Powerful SUV’s are the rage these days and now ABT has given the Volkswagen Touareg something to shout about.
Under the hood sits the brilliant 4-litre TDI engine which in stock form pushes out 416 hp (310 kW; 422 PS) and 900 Nm of torque. A little software optimization from the tuner has added 77 hp (57 kW; 78 PS) and 70 Nm of torque.
That is not exactly Super SUV performance figures but it is more than enough grunt to haul your family around and tow pretty much whatever you wanted to.
ABT will also offer wheels up to 22-inch in size, as well as suspension upgrades that can lower the ride height by 38 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear.
