Brabus Invicto. Bulletproof 789 hp Mercedes-AMG G-Class

It’s the first armoured model from the German tuner

The car looks as if it was built for action movies and carry spies through high-speed getaways. Brabus is a German company specialized in modifying Mercedes-Benz cars for quite a while now. Their latest model, Invicto, is fitted with an engine making 789 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque.

Brabus Invicto is a modified Mercedes-Benz G63 and the brand offers the model in three versions – Pure, Luxury and Mission.

All versions are fitted with the Invicto Shelter Cell which means that they pass the VR6 protection standards. In other words, if someone will shoot with a machine gun in your G-Class, you’ll be fine. It was individually welded to the body and features 3D-printed protection parts. Moreover, the VR6 standard also protects the passengers from close range explosives like hand grenades. To take things further, Brabus offers the option to choose the VR6 Plus ERV (Explosion Resistant Vehicle). This package is even more serious when it comes to security levels and protects the passenger from direct explosions. This is president level security.

The interior is as close as the one fitted on the standard Mercedes-Benz G-Class, but if you’re in for luxury, the company offers the Invicto Luxury option which equips the car with the finest leather you ever put your hands on.

All versions are quite light for an armoured vehicle, but the Brabus Invicto Mission is the extreme version of the three options and it was built to offer the highest security for VIPs.

Under the hood, Brabus tuned the 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine which now offers 789 hp and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Those power figures can push the off-roader from 0-60 mph (96 kph) in 8.2 seconds, and onto a top speed of 130 mph (208 kph).

After adding the one-ton (1,000 kg) armour plating, the overall Brabus Invicto weight increased to around three tones. To be sure that the braking system offers the best performance, the Invicto was fitted with larger brakes with 401 millimetres discs and six-piston callipers at the front and 380 discs and four-piston callipers at the rear.

The front and rear axles have also been adapted to support the new mass of the vehicle, while the wheels feature a higher load capacity. The Brabus engineers also mounted specially developed wheel suspensions.

Other features include protection vest-compatible integral seats, Molle-system door panels and seat backs, a roof rail system, a digital rear display mirror, the Acetech system with two touch control panels, an intercom system and 20-inch rough profile off-road tires. Moreover, the chassis, suspensions, stabilizers, braking system, wheels – all have been modified, reinforced or completely changed by Brabus. 

One thing we’ll like to know, but Brabus didn’t give any details regarding the price tag.

Rare Car Collection Tour. 300 Models Found in a Barn

Everything from classic Corvettes to supercars like Countach and 288 GTO

AMMO NYC received a request to help clean up and prepare a large car collection for sale. There are around 300 models and the video shows a car-by-car tour. The cars were found in a barn and the whole collection is stored in three buildings.
 
There are models from Chevrolet, like a wide range of rare Corvettes, classic cars, hot rods, ultra-rare supercars like the one-of-six, $1 million Bizarrini P538 race car, some Porsche 911’s, Ferrari 288 GTO, Lamborghini Countach and a modified widebody Mercedes just to name a few.

The car collection has exclusive and rare models such as a 1974 Hurst Oldsmobile that sits next to a Matra Djet V. There’s even a Bimota motorcycle between the cars. Other models found in the barn are a shortened two-door Cadillac Seville, a Packard flower car probably used for funeral processions, Ford Pinto, and even a Plymouth Superbird. Some of the race cars are believed to have been raced by the owner and among them, there’s a Lamborghini LM002 that may have been owned by Nicolas Cage.

The car collection includes brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, Mercedes, Ford Mustang, Ford GT, Dodge, Chevy Camaro, Chevy Corvette, Shelby Cobras, Rolls Royce, and so on.

Every car is for sale and most of them are in good condition and have low miles. Some models were kept under a cover, but others are coated in dust. There are a lot of parts around the cars, including a bunch of engines.

Hennessey Turns The Ram 1500 TRX Into A Monolithic 1,200HP 6X6 Pickup Truck

It was only two weeks ago that Ram pulled the cover off its new Raptor-eating 1500 TRX, though the crack team of tuners and fabricators over at Hennessey Performance Engineering have already outfitted the hyper truck with its signature ruggedized, go-fast treatment, tacking an extra set of wheels onto the supercharged pickup and installing a wildly-potent new seven-liter crate engine to deliver the MAMMOTH 6X6.

Starting with what was already the world’s most powerful pickup, HPE’s bestowed the 702hp, 650-ft-lb 6.2L HEMI V8 with a specially-tuned 7.0-liter “Hellephant” crate motor that puts down a whopping 1,200hp. Following in the footsteps of HPE’s VelociRaptor and GOLIATH 6X6, the six-wheel-drive truck also gets a custom truck bed conversion, upgraded and lifted off-road suspension, custom off-road-ready bumpers front and back, up-specced LED lighting all around, and a bespoke interior package complete with HPE and MAMMOTH 6X6 branding throughout. Limited to just three units in total, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX MAMMOTH 6X6 By Hennessey Performance is priced at $500,000, though that figure includes the $70K TRX donor model. HPE’s MAMMOTH 6X6 goes on sale on September 4, 2020.

ABT upgrades Audi RS4 Avant to 390 kW and adds carbon aero package

Audi tuning specialist ABT Sportsline has revealed its latest upgrade package for the RS4 Avant, handing the hot wagon a bump in power and an aerodynamic kit.

The RS4’s twin-turbo 2,9-litre V6, which pushes out 331 kW and 600 N.m of torque as standard, has been fitted with an in-house developed ABT Power engine control unit and a special air-intake cover. This brings the power up to 375 kW and 660 N.m, which the tuner says results in a 0-100 km/h time of 3,9 seconds (some two-tenths quicker than standard).

Optionally, customers can request the ABT Power S upgrade for the RS4-S, which increases the peak outputs to 390 kW and 680 N.m. Here, top speed increases to 300 km/h.

The engine upgrade is joined by a stainless-steel exhaust system with four 102 mm carbon-fibre tailpipes. The wagon’s handling is tweaked thanks to the fitment of a set of height-adjustable suspension springs and anti-roll bars on both axles.

Adding to the superwagon’s visual presence is ABT’s Aerokit. A front lip add-on with an RS4-S logo, front blades with wheelhouse ventilation, a CFRP rear spoiler and a diffuser are included in the package. The design scheme is rounded off with a set of 21-inch ABT Sport GR alloy wheels finished in gloss black.

In the cabin, the RS4-S has been kitted out with integrated entrance lights, branded floor mats and door sills, a custom stop-start switch cap, a gear-shift knob cover and seat upgrades with ABT and RS4-S logos.

Watch Volkswagen Golf GTI driver cut across two lanes, take out bike

This dashcam footage from Australia shows a Volkswagen Golf GTI driver cut across two lanes in traffic before taking out a motorcyclist.

The short clip shows the black GTI-badged hatchback move sharply from the left lane across the centre lane and into the outside lane.

Thing is, the driver fails to spot a blue Suzuki motorcycle in the far lane, knocking the biker down.

2018 McLaren 720S On A Mission To Find 1,000whp

If you follow supercars at all, then you’ll know not to sleep on the McLaren 720S. Its foundation is a carbon fiber cell with a mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Weighing 3,167 pounds, the engine is good for 711 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque resulting in a 0-60mph of 2.5-seconds (effin’ fast!). Our friends at Motor Trend have tested the 720S at Big Willow where it set a lap record (in 2018) of 1:21.75, ousting the Porsche 918 Spyder and Lamborghini Huracan Performante (Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car in 2018).

Saying this car is a beast is an understatement, and quite frankly, having that much power at your fingertips should require a special license. However, there are a handful of thrillseekers out there that always want more and in today’s case, Andre Wetzell of Southern California is on a mission to not just own one of the fastest street-legal supercars out there, but also to break the 1,000whp mark.


Now there’s a lot of McLaren owners that simply throw on a set of flashy wheels, wrap their car some obnoxious color and all it a day. Not Andre. His background in cars runs deep in the tuning scene. “I’ve been modifying cars out of the garage since I was 15, always competing with friends to see who had the fastest cars and it hasn’t stopped since. My first project car was a 1990 Nissan 240SX with a SR20DET swap putting down 470whp with bolt-ons. Plenty more after that like an SRT4, Evo IV MR, CLS55, E63 and Huracan, just to name a few…but nothing compares to the 720. McLaren has been my dream car since it came out in the Need for Speed II video game in 1997. I always told myself I’ll get a McLaren one day, and it finally came true in January this year.”

Andre’s 720S would undergo a series of modifications to improve its styling first, which includes a very comprehensive carbon fiber body kit from German-based Novitec, lightweight HRE forged monoblok wheels, 100-treadwear Toyo R888R tires and lowering springs. There’s also some drool-worthy hardware inside such as the MSO rollcage (one of two in the United States) as well as legit pair of Senna carbon fiber bucket seats. The sum of all these parts are tasteful and pleasing to the eyes, but not Andre’s ultimate end game…


“My goal was to put down 1,000whp and make it to the four-digit mark. Boden Autohaus fitted the kit, wheels and suspension but they also built the downpipes and exhaust for it. I love the quality of their work and team. For software, I went with M Engineering. They hold the top spots for the fastest McLarens in the world with custom features like rolling anti-lag, map switching, remote tuning and much more. The car makes 950whp now and I fell short of my goal by 50whp. The next step is a built motor or add a 75-shot of nitrous and meth, which is still in the works.”

So, just how fast is 950whp? Well, during Motor Trend’s test of a stock 720S, the two-door coupe ran a 10.1-second quarter-mile at 141.5mph. With a couple extra hundred horsepower and stickier tires, Andre’s best quarter-mile times are in the low nines at a trap speed 157mph. “Power is ready to be unleashed at any rpm and it’s capable of lighting up the tires at 90+mph with traction control off.” Sounds pretty insane to us and we can’t imagine needing to go any faster, however, Andre’s confident he’ll be able to break the 1,000whp mark and run eights at the drag strip in no time. It’s not a question of “if”, but “when”.

BORA DRLjAČA SE BORIO DO POSLEDNjEG DAHA: Sin kroz suze otkriva Imao je melanom… Otišlo je na mozak i pokosilo ga

SLAVNI pevač Bora Drljača preminuo je danas, a kako je otkrio njegov sin Vladimir, hrabro se borio sa opakom bolešću.

– Borio se do poslednjeg daha, preminuo je u krugu porodice. Imao je melanom, pokosio ga je. Proširilo se , otišlo je na mozak – kroz suze je poručio Vladimir.

Podsetimo, pevač je preminuo nakon nekoliko operacija.

JAO, ŠTA ME SNAĐE! Eru Ojdanića duboko potresla smrt najboljeg prijatelja – Sa Borom je otišao i deo mene!

VELIKI pevač narodne muzike Bora Drljača, preminio je večas u Beogradu.

Povodom ove tužne vesti oglasio se njegov najbolji prijatelj Era Ojdanić:

– Jaooo, šta me snađe. Na tu vest sam čekao danima. Zato sam se nedavno čuo sa jednim od Borinih sinova, koji je rekao da je Bora već neko vreme ležao u bolnici, jer mu se pogoršalo zdravstveno stanje. Odnosno, karcinom mu se proširo na mozak i imao je pet hemioterapija. Ja sam ga više puta zvao na telefon, ali se nije javljao. Jadni moj Bora. Sa njim je otišao i deo mene, jer smo nas dvojica prijatelji preko 50 godina i uvek smo zajedno prolazili kroz dobro i loše – rekao je Ojdanić.

Kako je nakon vesti o smrti velikog pevača otkrio njegov sin, Drljača se borio do poslednjeg daha, a preminuo je u krugu porodice.

BAR DA ŽIVIM JOŠ GODINU, DVE, TRI… Teške reči Bore Drljače samo dve nedelje pred smrt – Nemam ja nikakvu budućnost…

PEVAČ narodne muzike Borislav Bora Drljača preminuo je danas u Beogradu. Samo dve nedelje pre smrti on je rekao kako oseća da mu se neminovni kraj bliži.

Budućnost, kako je rekao, nije video.

– Kakva budućnost?! Nemam ja budućnost. Bar da živim još godinu, dve, tri dana i da umrem. Ako uspem da proguram još koju više i to ti je. Slomila me bolest. Ne volim smrt, al’ šta ću. Kad dođe vreme. Ne znam kako ćete bez mene, kako će ovaj svet bez Bore.

– Volim život i nauživao sam se, al’ još pet-šest da doživim i nek ide u božju mater. Operisao sam bubreg, debelo crevo, melanom, četiri-pet puta sam išao pod nož. Znam samo da ću biti sahranjen pored moje prve žene. Napravio sam spomenik, nisam stavio sliku, ali sve je završeno. Takav je život – rekao je on za Kurir.

Žalio je samo što nema unučad.

– Patim što nemam unučadi. Za čega sam sve ovo stvarao? Jedino ja da napravim dete. Bio sam budala, Rada ostala u drugom stanju i ja joj rekao da očisti. Bila je baba, reko gde ćeš ti sad da rađaš. Želeo sam žensko dete. Nema ništa lepše za roditelje od ženskog deteta. Sinovi su barabe, muškarci nemaju osećaj kao što ima žensko.

– Želeo bih da sam zdrav kao nekada. Da jurim ribe, da ih vodam. Nema koja nije htela, a sad se bliži kraj… Što se tiče životnih grešaka, to kad me pitaš, da ti kažem da ih je malo bilo. Imao sam sreće, a bogami i pameti. Nisam imao nekih težih povreda. Moje pesme ostaju narodu zato što su životne. To je moje bogatstvo. Moj početak i kraj – kazao je on.

PREMINUO BORA DRLJAČA U 80. GODINI! Napustio nas je ČUVENI PEVAČ!

Narodni pevač Bora Drljača preminuo je u 79 godini života nakon duge i teške bolesti. 

Borislav Boro Drljača je pevač narodne muzike koji je rođen 29. avgusta 1941. godine u selu Donja Suvaja, u opštini Bosanska Krupa. Borin otac Branko je bio ekonom, poslovođa u trgovini i matičar, a takođe je lepo pevao i svirao gitaru. Majka Stoja je bila ekonom i stradala je u Drugom svetskom ratu. Posle njene smrti, otac se ponovo oženio, a pevaču nije ostala nijedna majčina slika.
